Iscani Industries , a Quivera Enterprises company, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all on-site construction activities from project mobilization through final project close-out. The Superintendent serves as the senior field leader responsible for directing daily construction operations, coordinating subcontractors, managing labor and equipment resources, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager (QCM), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), clients, subcontractors, and Government representatives, the Superintendent provides leadership that drives project success while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Construction Operations & Field Leadership- Direct all field operations from project mobilization through final close-out.
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and logistics to support project schedules.
- Plan and manage site mobilization, temporary facilities, utilities, and site layout.
- Ensure construction activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Monitor workforce productivity and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and Government representatives.
- Protect company assets and ensure project site security.
- Develop and maintain two-week and thirty-day look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate daily and weekly work plans with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support development and maintenance of the master project schedule.
- Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans.
- Verify materials, equipment, and manpower are available to support scheduled work.
- Enforce OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1 requirements, and project-specific safety plans.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and observations.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Coordinate with the SSHO to resolve safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual safety requirements.
- Maintain emergency response procedures and site safety equipment.
- Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with the QCM to implement the Three-Phase Quality Control Program.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
- Participate in inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Support punch-list completion and project turnover.
- Prepare and maintain daily construction reports.
- Track manpower, equipment, weather, deliveries, inspections, and project progress.
- Maintain RFIs, field changes, correspondence, schedules, and as-built documentation.
- Assist with project status reports and close-out documentation.
- Ensure compliance with SWPPP requirements, erosion control measures, and environmental permits.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and waste management practices.
- Coordinate inspections with regulatory agencies when required.
- Coordinate completion of punch-list items.
- Support final inspections and project acceptance.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and turnover packages.
- Coordinate demobilization and final site restoration.
- Supervise and mentor field personnel.
- Communicate project expectations and priorities.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Build strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal suitability determination, background investigation, or Government security clearance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or equivalent field leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from mobilization through close-out.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
- Experience supporting USACE, DOE, DoD, VA, NAVFAC, or other Federal construction projects.
- Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods.
- Experience utilizing Procore, RMS/QCS, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.
- Experience working on secure or mission-critical construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Science, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, equivalent construction management experience may be considered.
- Equivalent combinations of education, military service, certifications, and professional experience will be considered.

This position is performed primarily on active construction sites and requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, crouching, and navigating uneven terrain. The employee must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely access ladders, scaffolding, elevated work areas, and excavations.
Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds is required. The position also requires sufficient visual acuity, hearing, depth perception, and mobility to safely perform inspections and oversee construction activities. Travel and extended work hours may be required to support project schedules.
Work is performed primarily on active construction sites and may involve exposure to heavy equipment, moving machinery, elevated work areas, excavation activities, noise, dust, vibration, and varying weather conditions. The Superintendent is expected to maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and operational requirements.
Security Requirements- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required Government security clearance, suitability determination, or background investigation required by the contract.
