Job description

The Journeyman Wireman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical theory, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and proficiency to work with electrical tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings
  • Understand and apply electrical theory in practical scenarios
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Utilize electrical tools and equipment proficiently
  • Diagnose and solve electrical issues effectively
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members and provide guidance when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety

Education/Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical codes and safety protocols
  • Proven track record of diagnosing and solving complex electrical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with evolving technologies and industry practices through continuous education and training
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
Travel Requirements:
  • Anticipated 100% travel to project sites nationwide
  • Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to wear and utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds
  • Adequate vision to perform all required tasks
  • Work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
  • Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely
  • Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness
  • Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required
