Job description

Warehouse abd Yard Clerk

Work Location: Val-d'Or
Schedule: 4/3 - Monday to thuesda - 10 hours per day
 
Reporting to the Director of Operations for the Abitibi region, the Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the proper storage of goods, managing material movements, and providing internal support to various departments. The Warehouse Clerk also participates in receiving and shipping activities.
 
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage and maintain the yard during both summer and winter, including loading and unloading transport vehicles;
Manage the receipt, issuance, and return of materials in the warehouse;
Prepare, count, package, identify, and store the materials required to complete orders;
Sort, store, and move parts and supplies manually or using material-handling equipment;
Provide employees with the parts and materials required for the manufacturing and repair of products;
Participate in receiving materials and shipping orders;
Inspect received goods and report damaged products, excess quantities, or missing items;
Complete inventory adjustments as required and maintain accurate inventory records in the computer system;
Properly use the tools, equipment, and materials provided;
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse and yard.
 
Candidate Profile:
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent education;
A valid forklift operator's licence is considered an asset;
Have good physical abilities and be comfortable working primarily in a standing position;
Be able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions;
Have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
Demonstrate autonomy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities effectively;
Be able to work effectively as part of a team and with various stakeholders;
Possess strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach toward internal clients;
Comply with health and safety requirements and wear the required personal protective equipment.
