Job description

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

A Construction Technology Specialist position is available at Garney. You will advance Garney's relationship with construction technology. They will identify and understand the developing of technologies that are applicable to Garney's current and future operations. They will communicate key insights with internal and external industry leaders, and employee owners. The construction technology specialist goal is to plan, implement, coordinate, and manage construction technology activities providing operational effectiveness. They will support opportunities for innovation and technology adoption in the field to ensure operation goals are being achieved.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Assist in supporting Technology Council initiatives and implementation of new technology
  • Ability to remain current on field process and how technology can continue to be leveraged more effectively
  • Attend conferences and develop industry networks to remain current as well as research new updates to software and equipment as they pertain to Garney's line of work
  • Explore emerging technologies and their practical usage on the job site
  • Have a strong understanding of heavy civil and industrial construction processes and terminology
  • Ability to research, learn, and teach emerging technologies to a wide variety of individuals at varying knowledge levels both in presentation settings, small groups, and one on one
  • Proficiency in construction technology and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Maintain relationships involved with construction technology
  • Work with internal departments, profit centers, and senior leadership to develop comprehensive processes and training regarding technology in the field
  • Able to create and develop effective relationships with field craft and operations personnel
