Rental & Inside Sales Specialist
Location: Mankato
Job Type: Full-Time

Sanco Equipment is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Rental & Inside Sales Specialist to help drive rental growth, support equipment sales, and ensure our rental fleet is always ready to perform.
This is a dynamic role that combines customer service, sales, and hands-on equipment operations. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, working with equipment, and contributing to a fast-paced team environment, this could be a great fit.
As a key member of our team, you'll help customers find the right equipment solutions while ensuring our rental fleet remains clean, maintained, and ready to rent.
What You'll Do
Rental Operations
  • Check equipment in and out, documenting condition, hours, and completeness
  • Prepare equipment for the next rental by cleaning, staging, and coordinating maintenance
  • Manage rental contracts, billing, extensions, and customer documentation
  • Track fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and equipment readiness
  • Identify and document equipment damage, wear, or missing items
  • Work closely with service personnel to minimize fleet downtime
Equipment Sales & Customer Support
  • Assist customers with rental and equipment inquiries by phone, email, and in person
  • Generate quotes and follow up on sales opportunities
  • Sell attachments, trailers, compact tractors, mowers, and UTVs
  • Build relationships with customers and help identify equipment solutions
  • Support cross-selling opportunities between sales, rental, parts, and service
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in equipment, rental, construction, agriculture, industrial sales, or a related field preferred
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both at a desk and around equipment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business software preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
