Job description

Position Title: Commercial Construction Safety Manager
The role of the Commercial Construction Safety Manager is pivotal in overseeing a mature safety program while ensuring compliance with stringent standards. This position involves conducting site visits, facilitating virtual check-ins with superintendents, and leading annual training sessions. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and sensors, as well as responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-compliance environment, adapting to evolving safety standards and ensuring public safety during construction activities.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 / Year DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and oversee the existing company safety program while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Conduct multiple site visits each month and facilitate virtual check-ins with superintendents
  • Ensure that equipment and sensors are available, calibrated, and updated
  • Lead and participate in annual training sessions on safety topics such as lockout/tagout and fall protection
  • Monitor updates to regulations and company policies to ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Participate in incident response and reporting activities

Requirements:
  • Construction safety background with OSHA 30 certification; OSHA 500 trainer certification is preferred
  • Experience in occupied commercial environments with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to meet above-OSHA client standards
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead training sessions and support superintendents and subcontractors
  • Willingness to travel several times per month
  • Industrial safety exposure is preferred
