Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a Rigger. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.  

  • Determine and set up hoisting equipment to be moved by lift
  • Secure materials following safety protocol
  • Signal to operator where to place equipment and materials throughout project site
  • Able to understand weight limits of various chokers, shackles, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, and cables, knows crane signals, and able to follow safety codes
  • Follow oral and written directions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed
  • Position requires long periods of walking or standing
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
