Hourly Wage Rate: $34.00 per hour. Add $1.00 per hour with NCCER Plus Certification.
Per Diem: $200.00 per days worked.
Hours Worked: 5 - 10's during pre-outage. 11.5 hours worked 7 days per week during outage starting September 11, 2026 - September 27, 2026.
Duration: 2 - 3 Months
Job Summary:
A Journeyman Rigger has a minimum of four (4) years of heavy industrial experience as a Rigger (including helper training) and is skilled in all aspects of safe rigging procedure. Experienced in advanced rigging practices, to lift and move equipment or material on construction sites.
Overview of Primary Duties:
- Loads, transports, unloads, and assists in selecting cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to the weight and size of the load to be moved.
- Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms with bolts and clamps
- Attaches load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to crane hook.
- Gives direction to crane operator or hoisting engineer engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and material handled using hand signals, loudspeaker, two-way radio, or telephone
- Set up braces and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Can tie various knots.
- Assembles and disassembles cranes. Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
- Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment

- Other verified experiences or certifications with ironworker experience Level I:
- Four (4) + years of heavy industrial-related rigging experience
Requirements:
- Must have NCCER Basic or NCCER Plus Certification for Riggers
- Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation
- Personal hand tools required for craft as established on the Yates Industrial Minimum Tool List
- Successful completion of required Safety training to include, but not limited to, Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at Heights
