Construction Project Engineer

Position Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial construction projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from conception through completion.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation and oversee document control.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittal tracking.
  • Assist with project scheduling, maintenance, and progress reporting.
  • Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS), project milestones, activity sequencing, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Coordinate and document project meetings.
  • Manage prime contracts and subcontractor activities.
  • Prepare project status reports and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Track and document project changes, including change orders, revised drawings, and contract modifications.
  • Monitor completed work and materials to support accurate billing and pay requests.
  • Implement corrective actions to support quality and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure customer quality expectations are achieved.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of construction project engineering or project management experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work remotely when project needs require.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
