Role Overview

The Project Engineer I is responsible for designing and preparing formwork layouts Revit, analyzing structural formwork drawings, and optimizing resources. This role also involves collaborating with project teams to coordinate schedules, monitoring safety, cost, and progress in addition to building and maintaining client relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participates in the preparation of formwork/framework layout drawings in Autodesk Revit.
  • Analyzing and designing formwork.
  • Supports the project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapts schedules and work tasks accordingly.
  • Works closely with the project team monitoring the safety, cost and scheduling of construction projects.
  • Optimizes formwork designs and collaborates with material coordinator to ensure efficient utilization of Cecoโ€™s physical resources.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance companyโ€™s ability to procure projects.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in civil, construction, or architectural engineering.
  • Understanding of structural systems and structural engineering acquired through coursework or practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in fast paced environment.
