Community Broadband Networks (CBN) is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) committed to delivering affordable, high-speed internet to underserved communities. We partner with municipalities, community organizations, and funding agencies to bridge the digital divide. As we expand our broadband infrastructure in Long Island, we are seeking a skilled Assistant Construction Project Manager to lead our efforts.

Why Youโ€™ll Love This Role This is a project-assistant position where youโ€™ll assist and take part in complex broadband projects from planning through construction and closeout. Youโ€™ll work with engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all standards. Your work will directly impact families by connecting them to reliable internet access.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers with all phases of broadband infrastructure projects, including planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Help develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and municipal agencies to align project activities and quickly resolve issues
  • Monitor progress for permits, milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects and permits on track
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Take part in regular project meetings, providing updates to leadership, stakeholders, and funding agencies
  • Review and approve contracts, change orders, invoices, and other project documentation
  • Prepare detailed status reports and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, agencies, and residents to support project success

Skills

  • 1โ€“3 years of project management support experience (construction, telecom, or broadband preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
