Salary: $50,000-$65,000

Extreme Painting & Contracting, Inc, a Southwest Florida painting contractor, is seeking anexperienced New Construction Painting Estimatorto review plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and residential new construction painting projects. This position plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, maintaining strong relationships with builders and general contractors, and supporting successful project execution. This position requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, pre-employment drug screening and background check.


Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for new construction projects.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates, proposals, and project budgets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Identify and pursue bid opportunities through procurement platforms and bid management systems.
  • Complete pre-construction and bid management activities including required documentation and paperwork.
  • Track bid opportunities and maintain an active estimating pipeline.
  • Manage and update online project management, procurement, and bidding systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material pricing and quotations.
  • Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
  • Send estimates and proposals to customers and general contractors.
  • Maintain RFI logs, bid logs, project contacts, and estimating databases.
  • Assist with project handoff to operations following project award.
  • Administrative duties including responding to incoming calls, emails, and estimating-related correspondence.
  • Utilize software systems to maintain project information and support customer relationships.


PositionRequirements


Position Requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Minimum of one year experience as a construction estimator
  • Experience in painting, waterproofing, coatings, or related construction trades preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with estimating software and bid management platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, procurement platforms, and project workflows.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures within the construction industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
  • Must be open to a dynamic work environment and be flexible with changes.
