Job Summary The Journeyman Painter is responsible for delivering high-quality painting services in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
  • Follows directions to prepare supplies and paints as well as complete work to specifications in the contract.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Restore and repair surfaces through caulking, stucco, and dry-wall techniques.
  • Utilize power tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
  • Perform construction painting tasks in both new builds and renovations.
  • Estimate materials needed for projects and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with leadership and clients to understand their vision and provide expert recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on-site.
