Talent Acquisition Manager – Construction Operations

Position Summary

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the recruitment strategy supporting our construction operations, overseeing recruitment efforts for positions across the field and corporate functions. This is a high impact role for a hands-on recruiting leader who can set the hiring vision, own outcomes, develop a team and partner with executives. You are passionate about attracting, identifying and retaining top talent. In this role, you will focus on developing lead generation and sustainable recruitment practices.

Key Responsibilities

·         Own and shape Sierra’s talent acquisition strategy by evaluating labor market trends and translating business goals into measurable and effective hiring plans

·         Design and own the recruiting operating model beginning at intake and sourcing through to offer strategies and closing overseeing full-cycle recruiting activities across business units.

·         Establish recruiting goals, performance metrics, and hiring priorities.

·         Drive technology, systems and process efforts to optimize the recruitment process.

·         Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

What You Bring

·         Construction Recruiting Expertise: proven success leading talent acquisition efforts within the construction, industrial or skilled trades sectors with a deep understanding of unique workforce challenges

·         Workforce Planning: ability to anticipate labor needs and develop proactive staffing strategies

·         Operational & Business Acumen: the ability to translate workforce challenges into practical and sustainable hiring solutions that support operational and financial objectives

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.

·         8+ years of recruiting experience.

·         3+ years of recruiting leadership or management experience.

·         Experience recruiting within construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or skilled trades environments.

·         Strong understanding of workforce planning and talent acquisition analytics.

·         Experience with ATS platforms and recruiting technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience supporting multi-state construction operations.

·         Knowledge of union and non-union workforce recruiting.

·         SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar certification.

·         Experience recruiting for large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.
