This role will begin as a contingent position with the potential to transition to a permanent position.


The Construction Engineer 2 will support EPC operation related engineering concerns and general guidance on best practices as observed from start of construction to end of SOLV's warranty period.


This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Qualified to perform all essentialConstruction Engineerjobresponsibilities.
  • Facilitate an open flow of communication betweenoperations and engineering partners. To provide more transparencytowhat is and is not working duringoperationsand potential remediations.
  • Be the POC for operations to present engineering concerns, and work withSOLVEngineering,partners, and vendors to understand and communicate reasoning behind designmethodologyand provide engineered solutions to operation concerns.
  • Assistthe operation team with engineering related construction RFI's, internal and external during the construction phase of a project.
  • Exhibit urgencyin resolving RFI's, and other operations concerns.
  • Know and understand all project specific design requirements (SOLV Energyrequirements,client/contract requirements, and permit requirements).
  • Develop andmaintaingood relationshipswithsite teams - Superintendents, Foreman, ProjectManagement,etc.
  • Ensure sufficient knowledge of the SOLV EPC Contract to be able to supportoperations andassistin confirming SOLV iscompliant withthe EPC Contract.
  • Direct the implementation of autonomouspile drivingsystemsto ensure SOLV fullycaptures material, labor, and schedulesavings associated with terrain following racking systems.
  • Assistthe operation team withmore engineering intensiveclients(andclient'sengineer/independent engineer).
  • Guidingproject teams throughdesigncomments withconsultants.
  • Assistthe warranty team with confirmation of responsibility as it relates to manufacturerfailures, compromised design, and installation errors.
  • Develop and lead project specifictrainingforproject team personnel (Project ManagementandField Teams)in the use ofGPS enabled pile driversand associated software and internal proprietary tools where applicable.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field of study
  • 2-5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
  • Excellentwritten communication,documentation, andorganizational skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving,and strongattention to detailand accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Exposurein CAD/GISandaptitudeforproficiencyin these and other engineering software
  • Ability to read and understandproject drawings,and specifications
  • Field experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Occasional exposure to weather, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals
  • Constant ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, and talk, andpossessdepthperception
