Construction Manager

Reporting to the Vice President of Project Management, the Construction Manager is responsible to oversee and support construction activities for the implementation of various distributed energy resource projects including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, battery energy storage, solar & geothermal technologies for our customers. Endurant Energy seeks to expand the project execution team through the addition of talented, driven individuals. Our core team is composed of independent thinkers who effectively collaborate to develop viable solutions to todayโ€™s energy challenges. Endurant Energyโ€™s project execution team leverages the interdisciplinary backgrounds and experiences within the team to develop holistic, sustainable projects.

The role will be primarily focused at customer project sites in the New York City area including expansion into NJ and CT. Candidate should live in or be relocating to the New York City area.

Responsibilities will include:

ยท Oversee various aspects of construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with project design, customer requirements, and applicable codes and safety regulations.

ยท Monitor construction progress and assist in daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.

ยท Manage and coordinate subcontractors and supplier to the construction schedule.

ยท Manage quality control of all construction activities; coordinate and schedule quality control activities with contractors and suppliers.

ยท Expedite and inspect materials; prepare material inspection reports upon delivery; manage any nonconformances observed.

ยท Coordinate and resolve RFIs (Requests for Information) between contractors, suppliers, and customers.

ยท Participate in regular project meetings, providing insights or updates on-site conditions, progress, and challenges.

ยท Assist in coordinating commissioning activities and perform job close-out procedures.

ยท Maintain effective relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors.

ยท Prepare and maintain weekly status reports, with data and photos as required.

ยท Create and maintain project status and progress documentation.

ยท Ensure compliance with the site HSSE plan, including safety briefings, toolbox talks, and JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses) being documented, reviewed, and gathered.

Requirements

ยท Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for travel to project sites

ยท This position requires candidate to be in the field full-time, with no office-based work

ยท Min 5 years of experience in on-site construction management

ยท Associate or bachelorโ€™s degree preferred, preferably in construction management

ยท Familiarity with energy or utility related construction preferably with distributed energy resource technologies, including combined heat & power, fuel cells, energy storage, and microgrids

ยท Proven experience effectively managing various aspects of construction, including managing scope, budget, schedule, and permitting
