Construction Site Manager / Superintendent – Semiconductor

Location: West Lafayette, IN
Project Type: Greenfield Semiconductor / Advanced Manufacturing
Travel & Relocation: Travelers and relocation candidates considered
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite


The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager / Superintendent to provide senior field leadership on a major greenfield semiconductor construction project in West Lafayette, IN.

This is a high-level site leadership position responsible for driving field execution from site development and early works through vertical construction, MEP/process systems, cleanroom construction, commissioning, and turnover.

The ideal candidate has led large, complex semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing projects and can successfully coordinate multiple general contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Competitive per diem and travel support are available for highly qualified travelers. Paid relocation packages may also be available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior onsite leadership for construction activities across a large greenfield project.
  • Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, trade partners, and vendors.
  • Drive project performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and field execution.
  • Coordinate civil/site development, CSA, MEP, process systems, cleanroom, and tool-install interfaces.
  • Oversee earthwork, grading, underground utilities, site infrastructure, logistics, laydown areas, and temporary facilities.
  • Manage the transition and interfaces between early site development and vertical construction.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent construction workstreams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor master schedules, milestones, critical-path activities, manpower, and contractor performance.
  • Lead field coordination and proactively resolve constructability issues and trade conflicts.
  • Participate in constructability reviews, design-assist activities, and early trade coordination.
  • Oversee site logistics, crane operations, material movement, access, congestion, and just-in-time deliveries.
  • Coordinate modular/offsite fabrication and delivery with onsite construction activities.
  • Enforce site safety requirements and promote a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Ensure QA/QC requirements are maintained across all construction disciplines.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, AHJs, inspectors, commissioning teams, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support system completion, phased turnover, commissioning, startup, and operational readiness.


What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of large-scale construction experience with significant greenfield project experience.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Site Manager, Construction Manager, General Superintendent, or Senior Superintendent.
  • Advanced facilities experience within semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing construction.
  • Strong understanding of CSA, MEP, process systems, utilities, and cleanroom construction.
  • Experience managing multiple contractors and trades on large, highly coordinated projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, critical-path scheduling, and field execution.
  • Experience with fast-track, design-build, or EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements, applicable building codes, and construction safety standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive aggressive schedules while maintaining safety and quality.


Highly Preferred

  • Semiconductor fab construction experience
  • Greenfield semiconductor or advanced manufacturing project experience
  • Experience supporting tool-install interfaces
  • Large multi-building or multi-phase project experience
  • Modular/offsite construction experience
  • OSHA 30 certification


Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Significant relevant construction experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
