What is construction management?

Construction management is a professional service that uses specialized project management techniques to oversee the planning, design, and construction of a project from start to finish. They work with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals and handle issues such as scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

Construction managers often oversee several subcontractors working simultaneously on different aspects of a project. A common challenge is ensuring effective communication and scheduling to prevent delays or conflicts between trades, such as plumbing, electrical, and framing.
