Job Title: Commercial Metal Framing and Drywall Carpenter

Job Description

This role focuses on installing commercial metal stud framing, drywall, insulation systems, and acoustical ceiling systems in accordance with project specifications and construction drawings. You will work on interior commercial construction projects, performing precise measurements, installations, and finishes while maintaining high quality and safety standards on active job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Install 16-gauge cold-formed metal framing in strict accordance with project specifications and construction drawings.
  • Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall to achieve the required finish levels and a consistent, high-quality appearance.
  • Install RF foil and related insulation or barrier systems as specified in project documents.
  • Install acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) grid systems and ceiling tiles to meet design and performance requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project layouts to plan and execute work accurately.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials precisely to maintain quality standards and minimize waste.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and elevated surfaces to complete framing, drywall, and ceiling installations.
  • Handle, lift, and position materials and equipment required for framing, drywall, insulation, and ceiling work.
  • Follow site safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with commercial metal stud framing and drywall installation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drywall finishing techniques and industry standards.
