Job description

Job Title: General Foreman/Concrete Laborer (Entry Level)
Location: Madison (AWS)
A road construction carpenter and general laborer builds and maintains infrastructure while performing heavy manual labor. Duties include clearing sites, building concrete forms, erecting traffic barricades, and operating power tools. Workers must lift heavy materials, work outdoors, and follow strict safety regulations.
Site Preparation: Clear brush, debris, and hazards from rights-of-way. Dig trenches, grade surfaces, and compact earth for paving.
Carpentry & Concrete: Assist in building wooden forms, pouring concrete for curbs and bridges, and stripping forms after the concrete cures.
Safety & Traffic Control: Set up warning signs, cones, and barricades. Dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding.
General Labor: Load, unload, and transport building materials and tools. Operate heavy and light machinery, such as skid steers, jackhammers, and saws.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a "Negative" result.
  • Must be able to complete a post- offer physical with a "Capable" result
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Experience preferred.

Work Environment:
This role operates in both office and active construction site environments. Candidate must be able to perform site walks, attend field meetings, and ensure on-site safety and compliance.
