Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Vice President or Senior Superintendent, your roles and responsibilities as Superintendent would encompass the following:
  • Project Knowledge - Knows the plans (especially the details) better than anyone working on the project. Ability to predict problems prior to starting work.
  • Cost Management - Demonstrates the ability to understand and analyze cost of materials and methods to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
  • Schedule Management - Demonstrates the ability to prepare, adjust, and adhere to a 3-week look ahead and overall project schedules. Display a sense of urgency.
  • Quality Management - Demonstrates commitment to quality construction and utilizing the guidelines set forth in the WCC QA/QC program (Quality Activity List, material verification, non-conformance tracking, exterior envelope QA, photography, etc.)
  • Safety Management - Exhibits an unwavering commitment to safety, including leading weekly safety meetings and taking preemptive measures to ensure safe work practices.
  • Contract Knowledge - Understand subcontracts, subcontractor responsibilities, and subcontractor scope of work.
  • Relationship Management - Serves as a representative for White Construction by establishing and maintaining client and peer relationships, attending industry networking events, and fostering business opportunities.
  • Communication Skills - Have an ability to convey your message both verbally and in writing in a professional, intelligent, and concise manner.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in similar construction project types
