Job description

Michigan Broadband Services, a leading provider of high-speed communications services,is seeking motivated Full-Time General Laborers to join our growing construction team.


This role involves supporting telecommunications construction projects across Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan. The position works under the direction of the Construction Supervisor and requires regular travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Excavate trenches and prepare worksites for underground telecommunications cable and conduit installations
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, barriers, and signage at job sites
  • Restore worksites to original condition after construction activities
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
  • Safely operate and maintain various hand tools

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Capable of standing/walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Willingness to travel overnight travel for extended periods (per diem provided)
