WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Field Engineer for our Milwaukee, WI office.

Your Impact
  • Responsible for ensuring daily contract compliance to project plans and specifications on construction projects and maintaining documentation to support quality specifications, payment, and project acceptance. 
  • Read, understand, and interpret project plans and contract documents. 
  • Identify possible issues in contract documents and propose solutions or refer them to the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or Project Coordinator as appropriate.
  • Acts as liaison to monitor communication and exchange of information between the project manager, engineering team, management, contractors, and vendors. Coordinate all internal and external communication relative to the project.
  • Assists in the review of the contractor's project schedule and estimates resource and material requirements; maintain respective planning and scheduling updates throughout project life cycle.
  • Works closely with project administrators and project manager to prepare reports detailing project costs, progress, risks, and opportunities for review by senior management.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relative experience.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to include technical writing and oral communication.
  • Ability to work as a team is essential.
  • Ability to work in this country immediately required.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. 
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • WisDOT, County and Local Municipality policies and procedures preferred but not required. 
  • Hold WisDOT certifications in PCC, Aggregate, and Grading Technician preferred but not required.
