Job description

We are eager to hire a Construction Field Engineer! The Company is a Commercial Electrical Contractor. If you do not reside in the Reno area, are you willing to relocate to for a great opportunity? The Company will provide relocation assistance.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Engineer/Project Manager/General Foreman on quantity tracking
  • Assist with RFI’s at the direction of the PE/GF
  • Assist PE’s with Procore management
  • Walking the job with General Foreman to determine % complete
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards 
  • Preparing design drawings, pull plans, working drawings, and installed drawings,
  • Obtaining quotations and proposals for equipment and materials 
  • Initiating requisitions for field purchases with direction for the GF or PM 
  • Preparing quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment 


Electrical field engineers should have an analytical mind, strong problem-solving ability, and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions. They should also be adaptable and mobile, and be able to cope with stressful situations
