Nycom is looking for a Field Engineer to join our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Visit Construction Sites and Document Progress and Readiness for Interior Casework Installation.
  • Educate and coordinate with general contractors and owners on how to be ready for an efficient casework installation. Coordinate access, storage, readiness, schedule, phasing, hoisting, jobsite rules, etc.
  • Attend jobsite progress meetings.
  • Perform Quality Control Inspections of Casework Installation.
  • Enforce adherence to Nycom installation standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Management
  • Contract and schedule installation subcontractors.
  • Enforce safety policies and jobsite cleanup.
  • Coordinate deliveries of materials.
  • Take field dimensions at jobsites.
  • Evaluate schedule progress and ensure adequate manpower.
  • Develop punchlists and ensure proper and timely completion of installations.
  • Update Project Managers on the status of projects.
  • Responsible for completing each project on time and within budget

Skills Required:

  • Ability to effectively build solid business relationships with Architects, Facilities Personnel, End Users and General Contractors.
  • Physically able to work in the field, at construction sites on a daily basis.
  • Communicate in an accurate and timely fashion with all departments within Nycom, as well as our clients.
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting architectural plans and shop drawings, carpentry, and administration of project close out.
  • Able to coordinate work with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical trades.
