The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Construction Technology Specialist

in our Des Moines, IA Office.
Job Summary:
Supports Preconstruction group and the technical service they provide within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Technical Support / Help Desk Operations: Provide front-line technical support for Preconstruction, VDC, and field teams. Manage and coordinate internal support requests related to content sharing, iPads, AL Mobile, collaboration platforms, and operational software. Troubleshoot issues directly when possible and escalate to appropriate internal resources or vendors as needed. Ensure timely communication and effective resolution of user support needs.
• Construction Technology Hardware & Asset Management: Manage construction technology assets including Trimble hardware, tablets, and related field technology equipment. Maintain inventory records, assignment tracking, equipment condition assessments, and operational readiness. Coordinate maintenance, calibration, repair, shipping, receiving, replacement, and deployment of equipment to support project and field operations.
• VDC / Construction Technology Project Setup: Coordinate setup of construction technology projects within Autodesk Forma, STRATUS, Field Orderz, dashboards, and other designated project technology platforms. Create project environments, add users, assign permissions, maintain project access, and coordinate project archival upon completion.
• Field Technology Support, Onboarding & User Enablement: Provide technical support and user assistance for field, preconstruction, and VDC teams utilizing iPad-based applications and digital construction tools, including Autodesk Forma, AL Mobile, STRATUS, Field Orderz, dashboards, and similar platforms. Support end users with troubleshooting, training, orientation, adoption, and day-to-day operational use of these technologies. Coordinate onboarding of new employees by provisioning access to required systems, mobile devices, and applications to ensure teams are equipped for successful execution.
• Process Documentation & Operational Consistency: Support standardized use of construction technology platforms by assisting with documentation of procedures, recurring workflows, support materials, and operational best practices. Help maintain consistency in project setup, user support processes, and field technology deployment.
• Continuous Improvement & Technology Adoption: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce operational friction, and enhance user experience across supported construction technology platforms. Participate in evaluation, testing, and implementation of new tools, features, and process improvements that support construction operations.

• Teamwork / Customer Service: Maintain a customer service mindset focused on responsiveness, professionalism, problem-solving, and support of internal teams. Collaborate effectively with operations, project teams, VDC staff, field personnel, and other stakeholders to support successful execution.
Requirements:
•Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent relevant work experience in construction technology, VDC, information systems, construction management, or a related field.
•3–5 years of experience supporting construction technology platforms, field technology, VDC operations, project technology, or related operational support roles.
•Experience supporting end users in a fast-paced construction, field operations, or project delivery environment.

•Demonstrated technical aptitude with mobile devices, software platforms, and operational technology troubleshooting.

•Experience supporting rollout or adoption of new construction technology tools.
