Monroe Tractor is a well-known and respected construction equipment and agricultural equipment dealer with over 75 years of experience servicing the northeastern US. With 18 locations throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, we pride ourselves on providing best-in-class sales and support to over 15,000 hardworking customers. The Light Equipment & Rental Sales Representative is a professional 2-part sales position. Light Equipment sales, you will be prospecting and selling light equipment (compact track loaders, mini excavators, small articulated loaders and wheel loaders up to 100hp). Rental sales you will be driving utilization on Monroe Tractor's expansive late model rental fleet.

The territories include Hartford, New Haven & Middlesex counties.

Successful Light Equipment & Rental Sales Representatives will establish long-lasting customer relationships by being a product expert and resource to your customers when resolving product issues. You will be expected to help increase the sales, profit, and productivity of each customer by offering light construction equipment & our rental fleet.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with light construction equipment required.
  • Proven sales success in which goals were achieved or exceeded.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong independent work ethic, able to collaborate with internal staff to achieve individual as well as branch goals.
  • Excellent customer service skills; a builder of relationships.
  • Clear and concise communications.
  • A strong sense of urgency, focusing on time & territory management.
  • Strong computer skills with a priority on Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective customers and offer assistance or direction to any customer who could benefit from our services.
  • Assist customers by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers.
  • Describe all equipment options available for customer purchases.
  • Renting entire product line (no stipulations: Light & Heavy) .
  • Build strong rapport and life-long relationships with customers.
  • Effectively overcoming objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
  • Actively use and update the Client Relationship Management System (CRM).
