Construction Project Manager – Albuquerque, NM

Burgos Group


Primary Accountabilities:

Burgos Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our client, Sandia National Laboratory located in Albuquerque, NM. The CPM shall have requisite knowledge and expertise in the required management, project, and/or discipline(s) area as it relates to construction project management objectives and technical support requirements.

The Construction Project Manager shall have general management experience required to identify project finite work elements from conveyed requirements, set up systematic management oversight controls, and bring project efforts to completion within safety, budget, and schedule while achieving technical and quality objectives. The Project Manager will also represent the Subcontractor at project meetings and have the authority on behalf of the Subcontractor to make changes necessary to achieve project goals.

This is a local hire position as per diem or expenses are not covered for this opportunity. A Q or L Clearance will be required.


Major Duties:

Project lifecycle management:

Plan, establish, and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule and scope.


Liaison and communication:

Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, providing status updates to stakeholders and management.


Problem-solving:

Work to remove project impediments and solve problems to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


Collaboration:

Partner with scientists, engineers, and other staff to solve complex problems and meet national security objectives.

Requirements:
  • 6 years of experience in managing people and resources and project management/project planning on construction projects and a high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • OR - 4 years of experience in construction project management and project planning and an associate degree from an accredited university or college in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent degree concentration
  • OR 2 years of experience in construction project management and project planning and a Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent degree concentration
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordination with contracting officers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Evidence of OSHA 10-hour construction safety class completion
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check and be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act compliance and federal labor reporting.
