Job description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are looking for a Construction Manager (CM) professional for a project at President's Park in Washington, D.C. You will oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. You will coordinate with contractors, schedule management, progress monitoring, and resolution of on-site issues to support successful project delivery.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract.
Project duration: One Year
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee construction management activities and support project execution
  • Coordinate project tasks, documentation, and communication among stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with contract document requirements and project specifications
  • Conduct inspection and verification of construction work for quality and accuracy
  • Review as-constructed markup drawings for completeness and compliance
  • Review and validate payment invoices in accordance with contract terms
  • Lead and facilitate progress meetings and general project meetings
  • Support preparation and submission of required reports and technical documentation

Qualifications to be successful in the role:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management or a directly related field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant construction and/or engineering experience.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required.
  • Proven experience in construction management and project coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of contract requirements and compliance standards.
  • Experience in construction inspection and quality verification processes.
  • Ability to review technical drawings and payment documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
