Location: 3201 Highway 63 North, Moss Point, MS 39562

Contract 6 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Engineer I to support engineering design, construction, and maintenance activities within a utility and power environment.

This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are interested in power systems, utility infrastructure, and engineering design. The Engineer I will support design development, construction package preparation, CAD updates, material estimating, and coordination with internal teams and contractors.

The ideal candidate will possess foundational engineering knowledge, CAD experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn utility engineering processes and standards.


Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Design & Support
  • Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to support power-related system design and construction.
  • Assist in developing:
    • Design solutions
    • Construction packages
    • Engineering specifications
    • Material estimates
  • Support preparation of project estimates and engineering documentation.
CAD & Drawing Management
  • Perform walkdowns and field verification activities.
  • Mark up and update:
    • Mechanical drawings
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Engineering documentation
  • Utilize CAD software to revise and maintain design drawings.
Construction & Project Support
  • Support construction and maintenance teams during project execution and daily operations.
  • Assist with transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and plant personnel to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
Quality Assurance & Standards
  • Provide oversight and quality reviews for contractor-developed design solutions and construction packages.

Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

Experience
  • 0–5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of CAD experience required.
