Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring procedural sedation and teching skills along with weekly call coverage.

Details
  • Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital environment
  • Provide GI and pulmonary endoscopic procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and EGD
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • Call required one evening/night per week from end of shift until 6:15 AM the next day
  • One call weekend required every 4 weeks
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Floating may be required within the hospital based on patient care needs
Requirements
  • Active Washington (WA) RN license or compact license required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Procedural sedation and teching skills required
  • Skilled in post-procedure care and recovering patients from conscious sedation
  • Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation
  • Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Proficient in specimen handling and labeling
Additional Information
  • Circulate and assist during GI and pulmonary endoscopic procedures
  • Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
  • Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with all time off requests disclosed at the time of consideration
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local candidates
  • Travel pairs accepted
  • Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before being eligible for rehire as a traveler
