Job description

Plumbing Estimator

We are recruiting for a Plumbing Estimator in the Pittsburgh, PA area with Commercial construction experience. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years Commercial Plumbing Estimating projects larger than $2 Million. Our client is a large regional contractor that is in expansion mode. The position needs to be filled immediately. Project mix includes Commercial, Government, Education, Healthcare, Multi-family, and Industrial

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Read and understand the project specifications
  • Development of master budgets and cost models for Plumbing projects
  • Provide conceptual estimates of projects
  • Provide Hard Bid Estimates of projects
  • Develop and maintain cost databases
  • Reviews and comments on estimates provided by others
  • Provide independent estimates of change orders
  • Develop pre-construction cost estimates

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 years experience as an Estimator with projects larger than $2M or an incredible career history to be considered
  • Solid track record of projects that involve commercial piping
  • Conceptual bid experience is preferred
  • Solid communication skills โ€“ both verbal and written
  • Ability to establish timelines and budgets
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Solid proven and verifiable record of career stability and estimating success is a must
  • Must have solid computer skills
  • The ability to work as a Project Manager is a plus
  • Experience in estimating Mechanical & HVAC projects will be highly considered
  • A four year degree in a construction related field is preferred
