About The Role
The Configuration & Pricing Manager is responsible for the hands-on, day-to-day management of Acoufelt's product configurator, ensuring that product options, rules, logic, and outputs are accurate, controlled, and aligned with business requirements.
This role owns the configurator as a key tool for the Sales team, ensuring it produces reliable product configurations, pricing outputs, and customer-facing information. The Configuration Manager will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Sales to maintain accurate product data, pricing rules, and configuration logic across Acoufelt's product portfolio.
This position also supports new product launches, product updates, and ongoing configurator improvements by ensuring the system reflects current product specifications, available options, pricing structures, and manufacturability requirements.
Responsibilities
• Own and manage the product configurator, including configuration rules, product options, pricing logic, and system outputs
• Ensure configurator outputs are accurate, consistent, and usable for the Sales team
• Maintain product configuration data including dimensions, finishes, materials, accessories, options, limitations, and dependencies
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate product requirements into accurate configurator logic
• Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to maintain pricing inputs, pricing rules, and commercial requirements
• Validate configurator outputs against product specifications, BOMs, part numbers, assemblies, and approved pricing structures
• Support new product launches by preparing and testing configurator rules, pricing, options, and outputs
Manage updates to existing products, including option changes, discontinued items, new finishes, and pricing revisions
• Establish and maintain change control processes for configurator updates, approvals, testing, and release notes
• Audit configurator data and outputs regularly to identify errors, inconsistencies, or gaps
• Troubleshoot configuration and pricing issues reported by Sales, Product, Engineering, or Operations
• Train and support Sales team members on configurator use, product rules, and output interpretation
• Gather user feedback and recommend improvements to configurator functionality, usability, and accuracy
• Maintain documentation related to configurator rules, update processes, pricing logic, and product option structures
• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for configurator questions, issues, and improvement requests
Required Abilities
• Strong understanding of product configuration, product data, pricing logic, or CPQ-style systems
• Ability to manage detailed product rules, dependencies, and configuration logic
• Experience working with technical product data, BOMs, part numbers, SKUs, assemblies, or pricing structures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to translate product and engineering requirements into structured, usable system rules
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage updates, documentation, testing, and approvals
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system, data, and output issues
• Ability to balance technical accuracy with Sales usability and commercial needs
• Experience with configurable products, manufacturing, architectural products, acoustic products, or custom product workflows is a plus
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Information Systems, Data Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience in product configuration, CPQ systems, product data management, pricing administration, technical product support, manufacturing systems, or sales enablement will be considered.
