IPTA is looking for great talented people to support the work at the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). AvMC is the Army's focal point for providing research, development and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the life cycle. AvMC's mission is to "deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development, and life cycle engineering solutions" to equip the Warfighter with the best technology today and tomorrow.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage configuration management, as well as collaborate with engineering teams in the performance of CM tasks and in the execution of configuration control
  • Analyze, update, and maintain technical baselines in support of interoperability, integration of IT services/systems, and IT governance
  • Responsible for implementing and performing administration and maintenance of configuration management solutions
  • Educate team members on CM process, policies, and procedures as they are developed, updated, and implemented
  • Coordinate, support, and performs CM activities for projects
  • Track and facilitate approval of change requests from submission through implementation
  • Identify and track Configuration Items and maintain technical baseline documents
  • Support the System Engineering Team, IA and other groups as needed
  • Provide CM input/content as requested
  • Creation and maintenance of the CMDB
  • Responsible for Risk Management Framework step 6 (Continuous Monitoring of CI's)
  • Incorporate configuration management, methodologies within the change process, initiate improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related technical discipline
  • Active Security Clearance required
  • 3+ years enterprise level IT configuration management experience
  • On site at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville AL
  • Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide appropriate courses of action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leaders
  • Strong analytical, multitasking and prioritization skills
