Job description

Responsibilities
Noblis MSD is seeking to hire a Configuration Management Specialist to support the US Navy out of Newport, RI. Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.
Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Identifying and resolving issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
  • Work with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
  • Provide change management and product configuration management guidance.
  • Defining and implementing configuration management policies and procedures to manage software versions, dependencies, and configurations.
  • Monitoring release metrics and performance indicators to identify bottlenecks, optimize processes, and improve release efficiency.
  • Providing support in areas such as version control systems, deployment automation, change control processes, and release validation.

This position will be based our of Newport, RI.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's level degree in any field and 3 years of professional experience in configuration management.
  • US Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or able to obtain a DoD secret.
  • Experience using NAVWAR software related procedures on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
  • Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
  • Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships.

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior work experience directly supporting NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 submarine Tactical Networks programs.
  • Familiarity with CANES (AN/USQ-208), SubLAN (AN/USQ-177), ADNS, and Tactical Networks Next Generation (TN Next Gen) architectures and modernization roadmaps across SSN, SSBN, and SSGN platforms.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
