Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager to support a contract with the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Agency OCIO. The NNSA has multiple offices and facilities across the United States, with this position being onsite in their Washington D.C. headquarters. These offices and facilities are responsible for various aspects of nuclear security, including stockpile management, nonproliferation, and nuclear security. Responsibilities for the Configuration Manager include: • Lead and implement Configuration Management (CM) practices across the full system lifecycle, from requirements through system retirement. • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend configuration management tools; oversee their implementation and ongoing maintenance. • Establish and maintain configuration baselines and manage change control processes, including audits and compliance. • Chair Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and ensure proper review, approval, and tracking of all changes. • Oversee software release management, including version control, packaging, deployment coordination, and release integrity across environments. • Develop and maintain comprehensive configuration management plans and documentation, ensuring traceability, compliance, and accessibility.
