Job description

Amentum is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).

Essential Functions:

  • Provide CMDM support and guidance to Integrated Product Team, e.g., Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, etc., from project start to completion.
  • Implement hardware (HW) and/or software (SW) Configuration and Data Management activities to meet program contractual requirements.
  • Support baseline control of all delivered software and hardware configuration items and documentation.
  • Analyze product design changes identified in drawings, SW and HW specifications, SW version descriptions and installation instructions, test plans and procedures and technical orders to determine the effect on the overall product's baseline and recommend changes as required.
  • Perform physical audits on configuration items, document findings, and develop and deploy necessary corrective actions.
  • Control, analyze, and update HW and SW baseline artifacts as the result of audits.
  • Maintain revision and version control over multiple baselines being worked and/or fielded simultaneously.
  • Ensure that existing management and change control processes are strictly used and enforced throughout the development and/or sustainment life cycle.
  • Support the development, delivery, and customer review of program documentation/data deliverables and status accounting updates.
  • Ensure revision and version control is maintained over multiple baselines being worked and/or fielded simultaneously.
  • Write and/or review all software and hardware change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance with specific guidelines and industry's best practices.
  • Lead and provide work assignments to analysts in the areas of configuration and data management, configuration control boards, hardware/software verification and software sustainment.
  • Train and mentor analysts in all phases of Engineering project development and required tools and skills to produce project deliverables.
  • Perform other duties related to providing configuration control for sustainment engineering.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in working in a sustaining or development engineering environment or equivalent work experience at a professional level.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and perform work and resolve problems under direct supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with specific emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, e.g., Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of materials, components, assemblies, computer, and peripheral hardware parts/pieces preferred.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, e.g., WindChill or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with engineering documentation, product structure, and change order management in a configuration and data management environment is preferred.
  • Some extended standing and bending.
  • Occasional travel to remote sites.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required

Compensation Details:

$75,00 to $80,000
