POSITION SUMMARY:

The MIP (Maintenance Inspection Program) & Parts Configuration Analyst assists the Manager Maintenance Planning with managing, developing, and maintaining the Companyโ€™s Aircraft Maintenance Inspection Program (MIP) and aircraft parts/configuration control processes. The position is responsible for ensuring the maintenance planning program, aircraft configuration records, and associated maintenance documentation remain accurate, current, and compliant with applicable FAA regulations, OEM requirements, and Company manuals.

This role supports the integrity of aircraft maintenance data, maintenance program tasks, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, parts interchangeability, and aircraft configuration tracking within the Companyโ€™s maintenance and engineering systems. The Analyst ensures that all maintenance activities and aircraft configurations are aligned with Aviation Regulations, the Companyโ€™s General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Maintenance Inspection Program (MIP), and approved engineering documentation.

Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  • Analyze, develop and manage the companyโ€™s aircraft maintenance program, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Compliance audit of the maintenance program.
  • Write procedures and update manuals on a continuous basis.
  • Maintain Maintenance Program Tasks and Airworthiness directives in our maintenance and engineering software tracking system (Aero-soft PMI.)
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of the Maintenance Inspection Program and associated Job Cards.
  • Review FAA Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Aircraft STC 's for maintenance requirements and Fleet compliance with close communication with our engineering team.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new aircraft into our maintenance program and maintenance tracking system (Aero-soft PMI.)
  • Maintain aircraft parts configuration records, including serialized components, part interchangeability, modification status, and configuration control documentation.
  • Review and validate aircraft configuration changes to ensure alignment with approved engineering data, IPCs (Illustrated Parts Catalogs), EO/SB implementation status, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support parts configuration management activities related to component tracking, removals/installations, and fleet standardization initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance Planning, Technical Records, and Quality Assurance to ensure aircraft and component configurations remain accurate and properly documented.
  • Monitor and verify configuration deviations, deferred configuration items, and non-standard aircraft configurations.
  • Assist with maintenance forecasting and planning activities impacted by configuration changes, component life limits, and modification programs.
  • Support aircraft induction, transitions, heavy maintenance visits, and lease return activities related to aircraft configuration and records accuracy.
  • Consistently maintains quantity and quality of work standards set.
  • Always adhere to Amerijet Company policies and procedures.

* This position is an evolving role, and its responsibilities are expected to develop over time as business needs, organizational priorities, and operational requirements change. Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Science, or related field; and/or Aviation Certification (such as FAA Airframe & Powerplant License) with relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in aircraft maintenance, maintenance planning, technical records, engineering support, or configuration management within an airline or MRO environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), and OEM maintenance documentation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), preferably within a Part 121 environment.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance tracking systems such as Aero-soft PMI, TRAX, AMOS, CAMP, or similar systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with executives, management, vendors, regulatory representatives, and operational personnel.
  • Positive and professional demeanor with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Boeing 767 aircraft systems and maintenance programs.
  • Experience in aircraft parts configuration management, configuration control, or technical records analysis.
  • Knowledge of ATA chapters, Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), and aircraft provisioning documentation.
  • Experience supporting aircraft modifications, heavy maintenance checks, fleet transitions, or lease return activities.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Orders (EOs), reliability programs, and component tracking processes.
  • Knowledge of aircraft serialized component management and life-limited parts tracking.
  • Previous experience in an air cargo airline environment.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Knowledge of Boeing maintenance planning documents such as MPD, AMM, SRM, FIM, and WDM.
  • Experience working with Quality Assurance, Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Systems (CASS), or regulatory audit support.
  • Basic understanding of inventory/materials planning and aircraft provisioning processes.
  • Project management or process improvement experience within aviation maintenance operations.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not have direct reports but may require providing training for new/existing team members.


Language Skills:

The employee must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information, respond to questions, and proficiently write reports and business correspondence.

Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:


Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally for office supplies and equipment.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; move about the facility. Some light physical effort required.

Must be able to work well under pressure. Domestic/International travel and overtime are required when necessary.
