Position OverviewThe Tennessee Department of Human Resources is seeking an
HR Analyst / Events & Conference Assistant to provide
administrative, event coordination, and operational support for conferences, meetings, and special initiatives.
This role requires
strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills to ensure events and programs are delivered efficiently while maintaining a high-quality stakeholder experience.
Key Responsibilities - Provide administrative and logistical support for conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Use graphic design tools to create promotional materials and advertisements for events.
- Design and manage online surveys for event feedback and registration insights.
- Coordinate event logistics including venues, schedules, materials, speakers, and vendors.
- Maintain registration lists, attendance records, and event documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Manage multiple events and administrative priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all event materials, logistics, and communications are accurate and error-free.
- Assist with onsite event execution, including vendor coordination and attendee support.
- Prepare post-event summaries, communications, and invoice documentation.
Preferred Skills - Experience using Canva to design event materials from blank templates.
- Experience creating basic and logic-based surveys using tools such as Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong event planning, coordination, and administrative support experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Typical Day in This RoleA typical day may include:
- Creating marketing materials or one-pagers for upcoming events.
- Reviewing event registrations and attendance data.
- Coordinating with speakers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Scheduling meetings and confirming event logistics.
- Working with the fiscal team to order event materials and branded merchandise.
- Supporting onsite event setup and coordination.
- Preparing post-event summaries and processing invoices.
