Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher/Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping durable, high-quality concrete structures and assisting with various construction tasks. Your commitment to excellence will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in concrete finishing, site preparation and general construction operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare concrete forms, molds and reinforcement such as rebar installation to ensure proper support of poured concrete structures.
  • Operate pumps, power tools and hand tools.
  • Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling and applying textures using trowels, floats and other finishing tools.
  • Assist with site prep including heavy lifting of materials, layout from blueprints and operating heavy equipment such as skid steers and excavators.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks like concrete pumping or site excavation while adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete finishing and general construction practices highly preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge of tools such as power drills, saws and other hand tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods and working in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction site hazards.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required (Class A CDL is a plus).
