Job description

Job Summary:
The Rodbuster is responsible for assembling and installing reinforcing steel (rebar) used in concrete construction projects such as foundations, slabs, columns, bridges, and other structures. This role plays a critical part in ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and rebar schedules
  • Measure, cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Install rebar, wire mesh, and post-tension cables in accordance with design specifications
  • Secure rebar in place using wire, clips, or welds prior to concrete pours
  • Work with cranes or rigging equipment to position heavy materials
  • Inspect rebar installations to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and structural integrity
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors, concrete crews, and other trades on-site
  • Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 75+ pounds
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
