Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop athletes' skills and knowledge of the sport.
  • Prepare student-athletes for competition through instruction, conditioning, and strategic planning.
  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, integrity, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, school administration, and athletic staff.
  • Promote student safety and proper use of athletic equipment.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students both on and off the field/court.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous coaching and/or playing experience in the assigned sport preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
