Description
The Concierge/Front Desk will support front desk operations at a luxury condominium building. It's a great opportunity to get hands-on experience, as well as build your career in property management.
Possesses strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Meets and greets residents; checks guests and service providers in/out. Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitors and operates electronic security control systems; and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms. Assists with general concierge services and performs administrative clerical, Word and Excel document work. Walks the building premises as directed for monitoring purposes.
Work Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday from 6:30 am-3:00 pm.
Compensation: $18/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Provides a warm welcome to residents and guests.
  • Register guest or vendor in our system
  • Announce all guests to resident for access.
  • Direct guest(s) to resident's unit
  • Responds to resident's request in a professional manner
  • Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Monitors and controls access to the building including camera system
  • Maintains daily log, records and forms
  • Maintains resident records and forms in FirstService Residential Connect.
  • Resolves and follows-up on all complaints/issues
  • Provides general concierge services (Reservations, Directions, Computer Printing)
  • Performs assigned administrative clerical, word and excel document work
  • Helps maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the building
  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment
  • Consistent and regular attendance required
  • Has the ability to understand and complete all required forms
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Must have the ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekends.
  • Attend and participate in designated meetings or functions as requested by the General Manager
  • Responds and documents resident concerns and complaints in a timely manner before escalation to management
  • Supervises, delegates and is responsible for all front desk operations, including but not limited to telephone, email, amenity reservation set-up, interfacing with residents, and other duties as assigned
  • Answers calls/emails from residents, provides assistance and follow-up, as appropriate
  • Understands community guidelines and refers to governing document resources
  • Provides training, onboarding to new hires, and ongoing leadership and coaching to all concierge team member
  • May be assigned other duties

Skills & Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required. College level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
  • Must possess strong customer service background.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication and time management skills.
  • Must be well groomed and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • A general knowledge of the community to provide directions and recommendations.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel. Command of information system hardware/software is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
