Job description

Summary: The server is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part- time regular or a full-time hourly employee whose main responsibility is to provide superior guest service in a clean and comfortable environment. If the theatre sells alcohol and your assigned duties will include the serving of alcohol, must be of legal age to serve/sell alcohol according to all state and local laws and will complete all applicable training, obtain all required permits and licenses and successfully complete a background check.
Must have flexible working hours including holidays and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • The Server position is based in the concession stand, and essential duty includes alcohol sales. The server must be of legal age with all applicable training permits and licenses to serve alcohol according to state and local laws.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all laws and legal obligations regarding the serving of alcohol.
  • Knowledge of all coupons and on-going promotions
  • Knowledge of and promotion of Regal Crown Club Program and any promotional items. Including add on's and upselling.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu and Cinebarre offerings.
  • Knowledge and enforcement of the MPAA rating system.
  • Make sure tablet is fully charged and ready to make first order.
  • Exceptional guest service skills including greeting all guests before their film begins.
  • Confirm the guest's seat matches their ticket.
  • Demonstrate Passion, Commitment, and Integrity always by running food and beverages, bussing trays and cleaning seats, and helping other team members whenever possible.
  • Process daily server paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ensure all food orders are inputted rapidly and accurately in point-of-sale system and check back with guests to ensure they have received their orders and everything they need to enjoy their meal.
  • Respond to calling of server via button by guests at a timely manner.
  • Handling of all monies and merchandise (including non-saleable and saleable).
  • Operating, preparing, and cleaning of all concession related equipment.
  • Proper use of all concession related storerooms.
  • Proper use of all cleaning materials per MSDS.
  • Knowledge of all building opening, closing and in between show procedures.
  • Knowledge of all emergencies, evacuation and robbery procedures.
  • Excellent sales techniques, including up selling and suggestive selling.
  • Knowledge of counterfeit bill procedures.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
  • Knowledge and compliance of dress code.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction - smile, greet, and thank all guests.
  • Attend and participate in trainings and meetings.
  • Responsible for accuracy of cash drawers, inventory, and coupons.
  • Must be knowledgeable of correct popper operation and emergency procedures.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Completion of progress towards completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a concessionist.
  • Required to read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Inform management of guest complaints and or maintenance requests.
  • Cognizant of issues with movie projections-communicating with management or the projectionist when issues arise.
  • Navigate guest complaints and assist with requests or direct them to proper res if unable to assist.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a concessionist or progress towards completion required. It is your responsibility to complete any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate. In addition, you must complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Must be 18 years of age with 1+ years of full-service serving experience.
Servsafe or equivalent food handling certificate.
Language Ability:
Possess good public speaking, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly.
Speak fluent English, with Spanish is a plus.
Math Ability:
Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
Reasoning Ability:
Identify problems, gather relevant data and note possible causes of problems. Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence. Take action beyond what is necessarily called for. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
Personal Skills:
Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers and management. Establish goals, budget time and set priorities to achieve desired objectives all while maintaining a smile and positive attitude.
