Job description

Provides assistance with requisitions, floating between carts for relief, and transporting product on-course. Occasional food and beverage service to golfers in accordance with customer service standards. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation according to company standards.

Essential Functions:

  • On occasion provide food and beverage service to golfers on the course in accordance with the food and drink menu and company quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, neat appearance, and sanitation of equipment and beverage cart.
  • Requisition supplies from club’s kitchen and storeroom, and ensure proper transfer and storage.
  • Ensure that required income, cost control, and inventory procedures are consistently used.
  • Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other laws and requirements.
  • Ensure that beverage cart is operating properly. Report malfunctions to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required reports.
  • Work primarily outdoors in the beverage cart, which may include patio, pool, and on-course service. Some indoor work may involve a restaurant/lounge environment.
  • Will be exposed to sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves and grills, sharp and rapid equipment movements, hot food, potentially dangerous chemicals and solvents on a daily basis.
  • May be exposed, from time to time, to inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, equipment movement hazards, and misdirected golf balls.
  • Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.

    Knowledge and Skills:

          Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

         Experience: No experience necessary.

         Skills and Abilities: Read and write (English). Need to have interpersonal communication skills, as well as, the ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision, and work flexible hours as required including evenings and weekends. Must have a positive demeanor, and present self in a professional manner and appearance in all situations.
