What does a concert runner do?

A typical day for a Concert Runner begins with meeting the tour manager or production team to review the day’s needs and priorities. Throughout the day, you might handle tasks such as picking up catering, transporting artists or crew, delivering equipment, or making urgent supply runs, all while staying in constant communication with the production staff. The pace is usually fast and unpredictable, requiring flexibility and quick decision-making. Runners often work long hours that can include early mornings or late nights, but each day offers a unique, behind-the-scenes opportunity to be part of a concert’s successful execution.
