Job description

Position Title: Lead
Department: Food and Beverage Operations
Reports To: Concept Manager/Assistant Manager
Status: Non - Exempt/Hourly
Pay Rate: $24
Broad Functions: The Lead contributes to restaurant's success by assisting the Concept Manager and Assistant Manager in executing store sales and operational goals. This job assists and supervises a team to create and maintain a good experience for our guests and shift members. The candidate is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Areas USA's high standards and guiding principles in absence of the Concept Manager or Assistant Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Models a "guest comes first" attitude, delivers excellent guest service, and
supervises shift employees to ensure they are delivering excellent guest service.
2. Constantly reviews store environment to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities
for improvement, in order to provide coaching and direction to the shift, to achieve
sales and operational goals.
3. Communicates ideas to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager for broader areas of
improvement.
4. Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and
mission of Areas USA.
5. Maintains and models a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume or unusual events and moves on immediately after to keep store operating to standard and to set an example for the shift or team.
6. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. One to two years of employment in a related position.
2. Minimum High School Diploma, some College preferred
3. Knowledge of the Restaurant environment.
4. Exceptional sales and operational skills in a guest service environment.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Team-building and strong problem solving skills.
7. Ability to use discretion in providing direction to others.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
9. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
10. Ability to act with a "guest comes first" attitude and deliver guest service that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
11. Ability to communicate and execute management directives.
12. May require knowledge of computer equipment or other technical devices or broad knowledge in several operational areas.
