Job description

Position Summary

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, an affiliate of Dartmouth Health/Geisel School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time certified ophthalmic technician (COA, COT, or COMT) proficient in advanced skills like refraction/retinoscopy, keratometry, biometry, motility testing, and OCT/fundus photography. This organization prioritizes professional development with generous CME funding and tuition reimbursement. Additionally, on the job training is available for candidates interested in surgical assisting.

We are a small community-based hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical (glaucoma, cataract) eye care for adults in the Upper Connecticut River Valley. This job supports two ophthalmologists and two optometrists and is split between our Hanover, NH and Windsor, VT offices. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred with two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate certification/licensure — BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire. Experience in a medical setting is preferred.
