Job description

We are seeking a Network Specialist to support secure network and system operations across commercial and classified environments. In addition to core infrastructure responsibilities, this role will serve as the Alternate COMSEC Custodian, providing continuity for COMSEC accountability and operations.

Key job responsibilities
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot secure network and system infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and virtualized environments
• Support encrypted communications paths, secure enclaves, and mission-critical systems
• Implement and maintain configuration management, access controls, and system hardening in accordance with security requirements
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security events; respond to incidents and outages
• Maintain accurate documentation for network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures
Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with systems administration, programming or networking
- Experience in network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP)
- COMSEC Training (eg IAEC 2112, AFMAN-17-1302-0)
- Familiarity with secure system administration and access control principles
- Experience working in environments with encryption, certificates, or cryptographic services
- Ability to follow strict accountability, documentation, and procedural requirements
- Prior COMSEC Manager/Alternate/Tertiary experience
- Security+, Network+, or similar certifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- • Prior experience supporting classified systems or secure environments
- • Experience with PKI, certificate authorities, or trust services
- • Experience coordinating across security, IT, and commercial technical teams
