We are seeking a highly skilled Intel COMSEC Specialist to provide cybersecurity engineering support for critical Department of Defense (DoD) systems. This role involves securing, maintaining, and managing cryptographic communications equipment and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key personnel to verify appropriate storage requirements for classified materials.
  • Coordinate and manage monthly and annual COMSEC requirements.
  • Track program-controlled cryptographic items (CCI) equipment and rekey status.
  • Maintain and operate primary GemOne workstations, working with system administrators to request updates and security controls.
  • Manage Tactical FASTLANE (TACLANE) networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and resolve issues related to COMSEC systems.
  • Oversee TACLANE configuration management to ensure compliance with security policies and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Certifications:
  • Must hold a DoD 8570.01-M Baseline Certification, minimum IAT Level III, in accordance with DFARS 252.239-7001.

Clearance: Active Secret or higher required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-time professional experience in:
    • COMSEC storage and security compliance.
    • Monthly and annual COMSEC management.
    • CCI equipment tracking and key management.
    • System administration collaboration for security updates.
    • TACLANE network management and troubleshooting.
    • Configuration and maintenance of cryptographic security devices.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
  • Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
