Job Description:

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is seeking a Senior Security Specialist in the Huntsville, AL area to support an Army Project Office located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. to provide comprehensive security support, responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a multi-disciplined security program designed to protect critical national security information. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and expertise in a variety of security disciplines.

This opportunity is an in-person/on-site position.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years' experience in within a DoW security environment.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of commonly applied multi-functional security principles, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated skill in applying security knowledge to design, plan, and execute complex projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to review, analyze, and resolve a variety of conventional and complex security problems.
  • Deep understanding of intelligence community missions, functions, and unique security requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present, defend, and justify findings to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor a multi-disciplined security countermeasures program to protect collateral and/or classified information.
  • Provide general counterintelligence support, including expertise in Foreign Disclosure, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and TEMPEST.
  • Coordinate and conduct comprehensive security inspections, investigations, inquiries, and staff assistance visits, providing detailed reports and corrective action recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain robust counterintelligence and security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance on the protection of classified information to various supported organizations.
  • Conduct thorough counterintelligence threat assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide broad, multidiscipline security support covering Information, Personnel, Industrial, Physical, and Security Awareness, Training, and Education (SETA)

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Clearance Level: Must possess a current Top-Secret security clearance.
  • SCI Eligibility: Must be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a T5 or equivalent investigation.
  • Citizenship: This position requires U.S. Citizenship
